Personal Care Attendant (PCA)

Job description
Become part of our home health team! Receive up to 5 weeks of time off per year to use for vacation, holiday, and personal time. Participate in enrollment of health, dental, and life insurance as well as the Agency’s retirement plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care of clients, such as dressing, bathing and personal hygiene
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, dish washing, laundry, and run errands
  • Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition to clinical staff as appropriate
  • Maintain required Agency client records regarding status and services performed
  • Record travel time and applicable mileage to and from client houses
  • Follow treatment and care plan as directed by home health nurse and exercise program andtransfers as directed by a physical therapist
  • Assist in maintaining a safe home environment for clients

Qualifications:
Applicants must be reliable, compassionate, caring individuals interested in helping clients maintain their independence. Must be able to work weekend rotation as scheduled.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Work history that demonstrates reliability
  • Basic housekeeping and cooking skills
  • Customer service skills and interest in providing care for clients
  • Organizational skills necessary for accurate documentation
  • Understand and maintain client confidentiality.
  • The ability to work independently
  • Possess the physical capabilities to perform responsibilities and to physically transfer and assist
    with the mobility of incapacitated clients, including the ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Background check, reliable transportation and a working telephone are required. We offer competitive wages and benefit package.

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time
Pay: $15-25.00 per hour (based on experience)
